What Our Boiler Installation Service Includes
A proper boiler installation is about much more than swapping an old unit for a new one. It requires precise sizing, code-compliant connections, and careful attention to your home's existing heating distribution system. We have been installing boilers on Long Island for over 45 years, and every installation follows the same thorough, professional process regardless of the boiler type or brand.
When we say "full installation," we mean everything is handled from start to finish. You do not need to coordinate separate contractors for removal, plumbing, gas, or inspections. We manage the entire project.
In-Home Assessment
We evaluate your home, measure the space, review your existing system, and recommend the right boiler size and type.
Old Boiler Removal
Your old boiler is disconnected, drained, removed, and hauled away. We handle all disposal.
New Boiler Installation
The new unit is set, connected to all piping, fuel supply, venting, and thermostat controls.
System Flush and Fill
For hot water systems, we flush old sediment and fill with fresh water to protect your new boiler.
Permits and Inspections
We pull all required mechanical permits and schedule the municipal inspection. You do not have to manage any of the paperwork.
Testing and Walkthrough
Every zone is checked, safety controls are verified, and we walk you through operating your new system before we leave.
Types of Boilers We Install
We install every type of residential boiler used on Long Island. Whether you are replacing the same type of system or upgrading to something more efficient, we can handle it.

Learn MoreThe Installation Process, Step by Step
Here is exactly what happens from the moment you contact us to the moment your new boiler is up and running. No surprises, no hidden steps.
Free In-Home Assessment
We visit your home, inspect the existing boiler and distribution system, measure the heating load, evaluate venting and fuel connections, and discuss your goals. This visit is free and comes with no obligation.
Detailed Written Estimate
You receive a written quote that breaks down the cost of the boiler, labor, materials, permits, and any additional work needed. We explain your options clearly so you can make an informed decision. No hidden fees.
Permit Application
We file the mechanical permit with your local building department in Nassau or Suffolk County. This is required by code and ensures your installation is inspected by the municipality. We handle all the paperwork.
Old Boiler Removal
On installation day, we start by disconnecting and removing the old boiler. The system is drained (for hot water boilers), fuel lines are capped, and the old unit is hauled away. We protect your floors and work area throughout.
New Boiler Installation
The new boiler is positioned, leveled, and connected to all supply and return piping, the fuel line (gas or oil), the chimney or direct-vent exhaust, the thermostat and zone controls, and the domestic hot water loop if applicable.
System Flush, Fill, and Bleed
For hot water systems, we flush sediment from the piping, fill the system with fresh water, bleed air from all zones and radiators, and set the system pressure. For steam systems, we fill the boiler and verify the water level controls.
Testing and Commissioning
We fire up the boiler, verify ignition and flame quality, check gas pressures or oil nozzle operation, test every heating zone, verify all safety controls (low water cutoff, pressure relief, high limit), and confirm proper venting.
Municipal Inspection
We schedule the required inspection with your local building department. The inspector verifies the installation meets all applicable codes. We coordinate the timing so you do not have to manage it.
Walkthrough and Cleanup
Before we leave, we walk you through your new system: how to operate the thermostat, what the indicator lights mean, when to schedule maintenance, and who to call if you have questions. We clean up completely and take all debris with us.
Most residential boiler installations are completed in 1 to 2 days. More complex jobs involving fuel conversions, significant piping changes, or chimney relining may take 2 to 3 days. We will give you an accurate timeline during the estimate.
Boiler Installation Cost on Long Island
Boiler installation costs depend on the type of boiler, the complexity of the job, and whether any additional work like chimney relining or piping modifications is needed. Here is what Long Island homeowners typically pay.
Installation Cost Ranges (Installed)
All prices include the boiler unit, labor, basic materials, old boiler removal, and permit fees. Additional costs may apply for chimney relining, piping modifications, or fuel conversions. Visit our detailed cost guide for a complete breakdown.
Rebates and Financing
High-efficiency boiler installations may qualify for National Grid and PSEG Long Island rebates of $300 to $1,000 or more, depending on the unit AFUE rating. We help you apply as part of the installation process.
We also offer financing options so you can spread the cost of a new boiler over time. Ask about our financing during your free estimate.
Permits and Inspections on Long Island
Every boiler installation on Long Island requires a mechanical permit from your local town or village building department. This is a New York State requirement, and any contractor who tells you a permit is unnecessary is cutting corners.
The permit process ensures that your installation meets the New York State Mechanical Code, the National Fuel Gas Code (for gas boilers), and local building department requirements. It also protects you as the homeowner: a permitted and inspected installation means the work was verified by a third-party inspector, which matters for insurance coverage and resale value.
We handle the entire permit process as part of every installation. We file the application, pay the permit fee (included in your price), and schedule the inspection after the work is complete. You do not need to visit the building department or manage any paperwork.

Why Proper Sizing Matters
One of the most common mistakes in boiler installation is installing the wrong size unit. An oversized boiler will short-cycle, wasting fuel and wearing out components faster. An undersized boiler will run constantly and never adequately heat your home on the coldest days.
We size every boiler using a heat loss calculation that accounts for your home's square footage, insulation levels, window types, ceiling height, number of heating zones, and the local Long Island climate. This is not a guess based on "we will just install the same size." Homes that have added insulation, replaced windows, or changed their heating distribution since the original boiler was installed may actually need a smaller, more efficient unit than what was there before.
Proper sizing also affects efficiency. A correctly sized high-efficiency condensing boiler will spend more time in condensing mode, which is where the real fuel savings come from. An oversized condensing boiler may rarely reach condensing temperatures, negating the efficiency advantage you paid for.
